Liz Castillo is the Founder and CEO of GHTA Impact, an organization dedicated to advancing the trucking industry through education, advocacy, resources, relationships, and opportunities.

Liz’s connection to the trucking industry is deeply rooted in both her family and her career. Trucking has been a part of her life, giving her firsthand insight into the hard work, challenges, and opportunities that come with building a business in transportation. She began her career in the trucking industry and has since built more than 25 years of experience in transportation finance, factoring, asset-based lending, business development, and commercial real estate.

Throughout her career, Liz has worked closely with trucking companies ranging from owner-operators and emerging businesses to established fleets, giving her a unique understanding of the operational and financial realities of building and growing a transportation business.

That experience led Liz to establish GHTA Impact, creating a platform where trucking professionals can access trusted resources, education, industry relationships, business opportunities, and a stronger voice within the industry they serve.

Under her leadership, GHTA Impact has grown into a network that connects carriers with industry service providers, financial institutions, shippers, manufacturers, community partners, and other organizations that support the trucking ecosystem. Through programs, events, partnerships, and initiatives, Liz continues to create opportunities that help trucking businesses connect, grow, and succeed.

Her vision is to continue expanding GHTA Impact’s reach while building an organization that strengthens the trucking community and creates meaningful connections and opportunities across the industry.

Suzie Kondylopoulos

Chief Operating Officer & Treasurer, GHTA Impact

Suzie Kondylopoulos serves as Chief Operating Officer and Treasurer of GHTA Impact, bringing more than 37 years of experience across banking, mortgage lending, small business lending, and real estate.

Throughout her career, Suzie has built a reputation for helping individuals, families, and business owners navigate financial decisions, access opportunities, and build long-term financial stability. Her extensive experience in lending and real estate gives her a valuable perspective on the financial challenges and opportunities facing entrepreneurs and small business owners.

Suzie is especially passionate about helping truck drivers, owner-operators, and 1099 business owners pursue homeownership and build long-term wealth. She understands the unique financial circumstances many trucking professionals face and is committed to expanding access to financial education and trusted resources within the trucking community.

Her commitment to community service and financial education extends throughout her career. Suzie has held leadership roles with organizations supporting homeownership and Hispanic representation in the mortgage and real estate industries, including the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP) and the Hispanic Mortgage Loan Organization (HMLO).

At GHTA Impact, Suzie helps lead organizational operations, financial stewardship, programs, and strategic initiatives while working alongside Liz Castillo to strengthen the organization and expand its impact throughout the trucking community.

Suzie’s Perspective on the Trucking Industry:
“The trucking industry is a key player in our nation’s economy. Every product in our homes has been moved at some point on a truck by a truck driver. Truck drivers work long, hard hours to keep our country moving, and we appreciate them.”

Having grown up in a trucking and transport-immersed family gave Liz in-depth experience and insight into the needs within the trucking industry. Her background and expertise triggered her into founding an association that could help, finance, and advise thousands of trucking companies to secure their businesses. This personal connection to the mission of GHTA and passion led her to create a system that encourages growth and success for those in the trucking industry while showing respect and integrity for the critical work they deliver, becoming a trusted ally for all trucking members of the Houston area.

Priscilla Picasso

Priscilla Picasso is the Vice President at GHTA Impact, and she currently serves as the Business Banking Group Manager for Texas Capital Bank. She has worked in the banking industry for over 25 years and is passionate about her work with her clients and community. Priscilla is 100% committed to her role as Director of Community Engagement for the Greater Houston Trucking Association.  Her dedication to the growth and success of the Houston trucking industry is a personal mission. Priscilla’s grandfather was a truck driver his entire life, her Dad also started his career as a truck driver and she knows first hand the importance of trucking and the sacrifices of the drivers and absolutely loves her role in the association to advocate for the industry.
